About JOY After-School
Our JOY After-School children’s ministry program’s time is from the School’s dismissal until 6:00pm.
Our program is on Wednesdays from January 1 – May 31, 2017.
This program is offered for any children in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.
In addition, this children’s ministry program is available for any family in this valley; not just church members/attenders.
All children participating in this children’s ministry program
will need to complete our registration form
Please contact Dylan Wade at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions
or to enroll for additional days after initial registration is complete.
In addition, ministry program fee is due before attending (see below).
In our program we will have a time for a healthy snack, homework, Bible devotional, and organized/free playtime. In addition, periodically, we will go on field trips.
Healthy Snacks: We provide a variety of healthy snacks throughout the year. We continue to be very intentional about the student’s health and nutrition with our snacks. We also, are super cautious about student’s food allergies.
Homework Component: Within our program we will have time for student’s to begin working on their homework assignments.
Bible Devotional: This year, the student’s devotions will be a chronological, and condense teachings of the Bible.
Organized & Free Playtime: We believe there are great benefits to offering both organized and free play for children as they continue to grow and develop.
Field Trips: Periodically throughout the year we will go on field trips. When we do, we will plan to do them early in the program’s time so that we will be back at PCJH before or at 5:00pm for parents who may need to do early pick ups. The following are some of the past field trips: The Recycling Center, The JH News & Guide, The Animal Shelter, and The National Art Museum of Wildlife Art.
Parents: We will send an email through our MailChimp account on Monday about that week’s JOY After-School activities. We want to be very intentional about letting parents know about our activities and Bible devotions.
Schools: We communicate with the schools every week about which students we will be picking up. If your child/children will not be attending, let us know so we may let the schools know.
We will send a fax to the schools on Wednesday mornings.
Ministry Program Fee Explanation
Families can register at anytime during the school year. Depending on when and how many weeks remain and the families’ status of being PCJH-Member or a Non-Member will help determine the registration fee.
A family can always participate in our program through a drop-in basis, but there is the potential that our class sizes are full for that day. Thus, we recommend an advance reservation.
For joining the day of the program, if space is available, our drop-in fee is $15.00 a day that your child(ren) attends.
PCJH Member – Daily rate with advanced reservation
For families that are church members at The Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole (PCJH) the daily rate for a
PCJH member is $8.00 per day.
Non-PCJH Member – Daily rate with advanced reservation
For families that are non-members at The Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole (PCJH) the daily rate
will amount to $10.00 per day.
