Dylan Wade was born and raised in Northern Michigan (L.P.) and has spent most of his adult life in the Christian camping world. Besides going to various day and overnight camps as a kid, he has worked the last 14 years as a counselor, program staff, outdoor educator, middle school teacher, and most recently working in the Teton County school district. Dylan’s ministry in Christian camping began with four summers as “Levi the Nature Guy” at Yosemite Sierra Summer Camp in Bass Lake, California from 2002, 2004-6 where he met his wife Catherine. After a year teaching outdoor education as “ Doc” in the Redwoods of Northern California, Dylan moved to the classroom as a middle school science teacher at St. Margaret’s Episcopal school in Orange County, CA. In the summers from 2007-9 he assisted in the creation of Emerald Cove Day Camp in Southern Orange County as member of the program staff and came back in the Summer of 2013 as the Assistant Program Director. Since moving to Jackson Hole in the summer of 2014, Dylan has worked as the J.O.Y summer camp coordinator and kicked off the middle school camp Teton Explorers. Dylan and Catherine have three children, Robby, Charlotte, and Lily, and have been members of PCJH since 2015. Dylan is very excited to share a fun filled journey with the youth of Jackson Hole to know and follow Jesus Christ.
