Caring in Christ's Name
"For God so loved the world..."
Our caring ministries offer a variety of ways in which we can support, encourage, and walk alongside each other in all of life's circumstances.
Pastoral Care
The pastors are available to assist with anyone in need regardless of their religious affiliation or background. Needs may include: physical illness or injury, mental illness, hospital visits, shut-in visits, marital and familial issues, divorce, grief, premarital counseling, spiritual guidance, or bereavement. Please contact the office for more information.
Deacon Ministry
Deacons are specifically called "to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress both within and beyond the community of faith." At PCJH, the deacons serve as "bridge builders" to the congregation and invite others to join them in caring for those in need in the name of Jesus Christ.
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. ~Galatians 6:2
Serve the Lord as a volunteer by giving of your time and talent, as well as getting plugged in and building relationships with others! Volunteer needs range from working with our children and youth, to helping out in the front office, to washing dishes on a Wednesday night, to serving on a ministry committee. There are plenty of ways to volunteer on a Sunday morning, throughout the week, or for special events.
