NEWS OF THE PCJH FAMILY:

Special Congregational Meeting – TODAY at 11:30am in the Sanctuary.  The purpose of the meeting is to vote on Council’s recommendation to call Rev. Steve Weber as our installed associate pastor at PCJH.

Host Family Needed for PCJH Intern – We are excited for our new intern Aubrey Hoffman to arrive at the beginning of September! We are looking for housing for her, if you are interested in serving in this way email Ricky Emlyn, remlyn@pcjh.org.

Jackson Hole Marathon  – Water station volunteers needed! Saturday, September 5th. Contact Julie Whitlock, julieinid@silverstar.com, if you are able to serve.

Little Lambs Preschool – There are still a few openings! Register online, pcjh.org.

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading – Registration is open for girls and boys in the 1st to 6th grades! The season starts in September. Sign up at http://pcjh.org/upward-sports/. JOIN THE FUN and consider serving as a coach or referee. For more information contact the Director, Linda Hanlon at 739-9591, ext. 124.

Wednesday After-School Program – September 9th, 2015 – June 1st, 2016. This Children’s Ministry Program is from school’s dismissal until 6:00pm. This program is offered for children in Kindergarten through Fifth grade in any of the local elementary schools. Children will be picked up at school and transported to PCJH.

Fine Furniture Sale – Saturday, September 19th. We are still taking donations and volunteers. Please contact Tiffany Tate to get involved, 307.690.6189.

Confirmation Class with Pastor Ben – September 13th-November 15th, Sundays at 9:00am. Confirmation is a part of our Milestone Ministry. Youth in 8th-12th grade are invited to join this class in which students will have the opportunity to ask questions about the Christian faith and consider a personal commitment to Christ.

Women’s Retreat – October 2nd & 3rd, 5-9 Friday & 8-5 Saturday. “Embraced by Grace” – Knowing, receiving and living God’s Grace. With Pastor Laura Rasmussen. $25 – covers materials, food, and daycare. Payment will be collected at the door, and scholarships are available. Email Maggie with any questions, mwvaliante@gmail.com.

Agros Service Trip – The 8th PCJH Agros service trip to Tierra Nueva in Nicaragua is scheduled for November 7th-15th.  The planning for the trip will be starting soon and the team will be finalized by September 1st.  The cost is about $1,500 and some financial aid is available.  Contact Bob Kopp at bkopp@waldenasset.com or Addie Pascal, addiepascal@gmail.com.

Men’s Forgiveness Study  – The Saturday Morning Men’s Group is starting a new discussion series on forgiveness, based on Lewis B. Smedes book The Art of Forgiveness, When You Need to Forgive and Don’t Know How. We meet every Saturday morning from 8:00am-10:00am in the Youth Room. All men in the congregation are welcome. For additional information contact Ron Stevens.
