Dear PCJH family,
It is with great excitement and joy that we welcome the two newest staff members to our church: Karee Miller Jaeger, Music & Worship Coordinator, and Laura Huckin, Interim Choir Director! If you’ve attended one of our Sunday services recently, you’ve experienced the talent and passion that these two leaders have for music and faith. We feel incredibly blessed to get to share in worship with them both.
Karee Miller Jaeger grew up in a large family in Minnesota and has sung all her life in different bands, sister acts, compilations, organizations, churches, choirs and worship teams. She lives in Jackson with her husband and three girls. In her words, “Music has always been a part of my life and I treasure the life and times I’ve lived through it thus far, holding each memory dear. It doesn’t matter where I am, God is with me everywhere I go. I have been called through Him with this amazing gift I’ve been given to share with the world. My journey, what I’ve endured and found in Him, has created me to be who I am and in the Way, and I’m comforted knowing that where I am now is truly where I need to be.”
Laura Huckin grew up in a musical family, playing piano from an early age, then moving on to intensive theory study, choir and private instruction. She moved to Jackson in 2002 to work for the Jackson Hole Film Festival, then jumped into full-time musical instruction in 2005. She now lives in Alpine with her husband and two children and is the Conductor of Cathedral Voices, a nonprofit organization for choral excellence and expression. She brings great skill, experience and commitment to our choir.
We serve a God who delights in answering our prayers, fulfilling our needs, and surprising us with the goodness of His perfect will. I have no doubt that He has been guiding this employment process from the beginning and equipping Karee and Laura for these positions. We are thrilled to partner in ministry with them and are looking forward to how God will work in our congregation in this new musical direction.
