A year ago, PCJH’s Music & Worship Director Kenny Hadden was moved to write and compose a song based on Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:25-34. Inspired by this past Sunday’s sermon, The Freedom of Simplicity, in which Pastor Ben preached on these same beautiful verses, he’s releasing the song today. God Is Near

I won’t worry for God is near
And when all these things around me disappear
God will clothe me like the lilies of the field
And I’ll find in Him my refuge and be still

I won’t labor and I won’t spin
‘Cause I’ve been around and I’ll come around again
But on this world of trouble, the sun won’t fail to rise
So I’ll keep my face turned toward the lightning sky
