Dear PCJH Family,
The Children’s Ministry Team is excited to announce that we have hired Preston Gordon as our Interim Children’s Ministry Coordinator to lead and rebuild our children’s ministry program over this next year (Sept 2022 – July 2023). Many of you will remember Preston as he served on staff at PCJH back in 2011-2013. We believe God’s timing and the Holy Spirit led us to this opportunity with Preston. We are extremely grateful. Not only will Preston do an amazing job leading our children’s ministry but this also gives us time to continue to search for who God is calling more permanently in this role at PCJH. It also gives Preston time as he seeks his next call as an Anglican priest.
We need your help! We are working hard to find housing for Preston & Deanna and their two young boys. We are looking for a 2-bedroom that would be available September 1. Please let me know if you have any leads. Thank you so much and we look forward to welcoming the Gordons back to PCJH. Preston will officially start on September 6.
In Christ,
Pastor Ben

Hello PCJH!
Grace to you, and peace. My name is Preston Gordon and I am excited to be coming to Jackson to serve as the interim Children’s Ministry Coordinator for the next year. I wanted to share a little about myself and why I’m excited for this upcoming year at the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole.
I was first connected to PCJH in 2011 when I served as the Youth & Young Adult Ministry Coordinator from 2011-2013. This was a pivotal time in my life—God used these years to reveal to me that I wanted to serve in ministry as my life vocation. I also met my wife, Deanna, at PCJH and we were married at the church in 2013. We moved to Vancouver, BC soon after, where I completed a Masters of Divinity at Regent College. Much happened in Vancouver. God led us to an Anglican church plant called St. Peter’s Fireside, where we found our home in the body of Christ for 8 wonderful years. I was ordained as an Anglican priest and served as the Associate Pastor for 5 years at St. Pete’s. God also gave us two sons in Vancouver: Elliott (6) and Anderson (3).
In 2021 we discerned it was time to return to the United States. Over the past 6 months we have been looking for the right landing place and role, but it seems God’s timing is a bit different than we expected (often the case!). God graciously opened up this opportunity with PCJH for an interim role for the next year, while we continue following him with open hands as to what may be next.
We love the people at PCJH. This community holds a special place in our hearts. I worked with children’s ministry over the past 4 years at St. Pete’s and God expanded my vision for serving and discipling children. I believe the kids among us have a lot to teach us about the character of God. And I believe leading our kids towards Christ and creating space to help them encounter God is an essential task of the church. I’m excited to come alongside the good work happening at PCJH and see what God will do in our midst this year—for his glory, now and forever.
Preston
